What were your ideas, Cagesiders?
Prior to the match, Lashley was doing pull ups on a bar as MVP just clearly specified that Lashley hasnt missed out on a step. Opening sections that set up matches for the night … thats fine. Riddle did an excellent task offering the foot injury in this match. While the diversion surfaces are meh, this was a great match and I would be interested in Riddle winning the brief-case simply to see the interactions with Randy Orton.
Mahal was quite aggressive in this match so that was good to see.
An interesting story was informed around the WWE championship on Raw.
MVP remained in the room with Bobby Lashley and his women, and when Kevin Patrick asked him why the songs match was made a tag match, he stated that Kofi Kingston could not get away with the disrespect from last week.
Lashley was upset with Kingstons talk about his trip from last week, and you could feel his anger throughout the show.
Later, New Day had a basic New Day promo and were simply hyping the match.
Prior to the match, Lashley was doing pull ups on a bar as MVP just clearly stated that Lashley hasnt missed a step. He had a death stare into the camera as New Days music played. Due to the fact that I believe its truly striking house the story being informed, I truly appreciated all of the severity from Lashley.
In the closing stretch, Lashley was disappointing any concern for MVP in the ring despite the fact that he was still hopping. Kingston tagged in and flew all over the location, getting MVP and knocking Lashley off the apron. A surprise Trouble in Paradise knocked Lashley out of the ring and after that Kingston countered the Playmaker with a Trouble in Paradise as Xavier Woods took Lashley out so he could not interfere.
The story here is that it appears Bobby may begin to understand MVP is hanging around and throwing him off his video game. MVP got pinned and Bobby seethed, despite the fact that he assisted him up. You could see it.
The insertion into his match and the disruptive women may be resulting in a Lashley turn on MVP at Money in the Bank. I have a theory that MVP will depend on his normal shenanigans and Lashley will not be able to capitalize off of it now that there will be another person in his opponents corner for the very first time this year.
I think Bobby will wish to be solo heading into SummerSlam and take all of his distractions out to focus on whoever his Big opponent ought to bE.
Lets get to the remainder of the show. For a full rundown of Raw, take a look at the live blog by Claire Elizabeth!
Riddle beat AJ Styles
Riddle did an excellent task selling the foot injury in this match. He never ever had the ability to do his normal entrance, Styles greatly worked it over throughout and got fooled by Riddle when he did the Karate Kid pose. Styles kept kicking him in the ideal foot to knock him down, and even when Riddle utilized the hurt foot, he offered it. Omos knocked him off his feet without the referee seeing. All of a sudden Erik and Ivar sidetracked Omos, which distracted Styles, and Riddle rolled him as much as win. While the diversion surfaces are meh, this was a fantastic match and I would have an interest in Riddle winning the brief-case just to see the interactions with Randy Orton.
John Morrison beat Ricochet
I was delighted to see another match in this series. An extremely cool move that Ricochet didnt get to follow through with occurred with a backslide over Miz which he was attempting to turn into a hurricanrana on Morrison, however Morrison captured him and tossed him into the barricade. They tried to do something crazy over the leading rope that looked frightening but then the silly referee who was looking right at Ricochet and Miz didnt happen to observe that Miz was blocking him from returning into the ring, and Ricochet got suspended.
Mustafa Ali defeated Mansoor
A couple of weeks ago I needed to advertise this fight for WWE, but now theyre providing it life. My work here is done. This was actually more than a match. It was Ali mentor Mansoor all about how to be effective. Mansoor had a good spinebuster for a two count. But Mansoor let his compassion in and helped Ali get out of the ropes, and Ali rolled him approximately win. Im enjoying this back and forth and question if it leads to Mansoor joining the previous RETRIBUTION leader.
Hello disqualification my old good friend (Drew McIntyre vs. Jinder Mahal).
Corey Graves literally put me in tears after Drews discount about the Loch Ness Monster when he said that the next tale Drew beautifies us with will be how he beat Lord Farquaad. Mahal was quite aggressive in this match so that was nice to see. And thats saying something when you have a monstrosity of an opening section like this programs.
Nia Jax, Shayna Baszler, Eva Marie, and DouDrop beat Naomi, Asuka, Nikki A.S.H., and Alexa Bliss.
DouDrop was going to start with Naomi, however Marie tagged in and couldnt handle it so she tagged DouDrop back in. The stuff with Reginald and the gaze of Bliss is truly dumb now. The practically superhero got pinned so lets see how well this gimmick is treated going forward.
Lucha House Party beat Mace and T-Bar.
T-Bar released Lince Dorado out of the ring, and after that Mace went to Byron Saxton and offered him some commentary tips. Connection! Ya understand what these teams arent so bad with each other. Great shock win for Lucha House Party here.
Can we stop this, please?
Charlotte Flair announced that she might miss Money in the Bank.
She stated Rhea Ripley is frightened due to the fact that she has to turn to doing Flairs own moves to take her out. Shell be taken out forever and Ripley will continue to keep her championship. She applauded Ripley for utilizing her own tactics.
Ripley then came out, also with a crutch on the exact same leg as Flair.
She said shes still utilizing Flairs methods and that Flair is being a drama queen. They both dropped the act and swung the crutches at each other. Style avoided Ripley and got out of the ring.
This sector was totally pointless and not how you book champs. I truly dont understand why they couldnt simply let Rhea be the excellent bad ass she was coming out of the Royal Rumble. All of this heel/face/tweener things has just been bad.
I was truly delighting in Charlotte after returning, but none of this works. The Opportunity Charlotte the very first month was great, however man all of the stuff because has actually not been.
Will this feud be over after Money in the Bank? Most likely not, going off of WWEs track record.
Opening segments set the state of mind
The program began with the cash in the Bank edition of Miz TV.
Lets all ensure that John Morrison is as moist as possible for Money in the Bank. This was something stated on Raw. Drew McIntyre was called a “splash-hole” on this Raw.
The moist things ran its course a while back, y all.
We learned that McIntyre is a remote relative to Davey Crockett. Please do not provide McIntyre the win, WWE.
Ricochet came out and spelled his name and then was called dry by Morrison.
Riddle climbed up the only ladder set up in the ring (they do not call it the Money in the Bank edition for absolutely nothing!) and stated he was extremely high and unfortunate.
AJ Styles and Omos came out to continue whining about how recently needs to have been a one on one match and attacked Riddle, leading Morrison to attack Ricochet prior to their match, which well discuss in a bit.
This is not the type of opening segment that makes me delighted to tune into a 3 hour program.
Opening segments that set up matches for the night … thats fine. All of this pointless talking and people not acting like routine human beings gets boring. I can tell you that it actively made me less thinking about the program, and I dont feel like Raw kept the good streak going.
Which was prior to the absolutely pointless Elias/Cedric Alexander and Jaxson Ryker/R-Truth match. Even before the doubtful 8 lady tag booking, and the next segment Im speaking about.
