Rangers could not find a way past Brighton as they played out a 0-0 draw against Premier League opposition. Steven Gerrards side looked the most likely of the 2 sides to get a goal and had a few opportunities but never ever really carved open the Seagulls defence like they can. John Lundstram, on as a substitute after the hour mark broke the crossbar in the closest call. Rangers welcomed 8,500 fans to Ibrox for the friendly and those in attendance directed some paradoxical cheers the way of Shane Duffy, going back to Glasgow after a poor loan season at Celtic. Although the defender didnt exactly put a foot wrong in his half of football, clearing an effort off the line when keeper Kjell Scherpen was stranded. Apart from that and Lundstrams effort there was little to write home about however Nikola Katics return after 503 days brought plenty of cheers throughout the Govan ground. Next up is none besides Real Madrid on Sunday and you can reflect on todays updates below.
