Today marks yet another significant milestone for the very popular Nintendo Switch title Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Famitsu sales information exposes the video game has now gone beyond 4 million sales in Japan if you saw the other days Japanese charts.
Its previously been attained by Animal Crossing: New Horizons (over 6.8 million systems), Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (around 4.4 million systems), and Pokémon Sword and Shield (4.3 million units).
In regards to worldwide sales, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is still well out in front as the very popular title. As of 30th June 2021, its offered 37 million copies. Animal Crossing: New Horizons remains in second place, with 33 million sales and Smash Bros. takes third location with 24 million sales. Overall this week, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe positioned fourth in Japans charts, simply underneath Ring Fit Adventure.
While Nintendo appears to be well and truly done with this Mario Kart 8, previously this year it did surprise fans with an exceptionally small update for the game that repaired a couple of issues. Have you contributed to Mario Karts success on the Nintendo Switch?
