Mo Salah is back in the ‘form of his life’ as he ‘knows he can win the title again’, says Sky Sports pundit and former Reds midfielder Jamie Redknapp.

Liverpool winger Salah has hit the ground running this season, netting five Premier League goals and three in the Champions League so far.

Last week he became the fastest player to reach 100 Premier League goals for the Reds after he scored during the thrilling 3-3 draw with newcomers Brentford.

And following the blistering start to the season, Redknapp has said Salah is playing ‘as well as I’ve ever seen him’.

He told Sky Sports’ Essential Football Podcast : “I think he looks so hungry. With some players who’ve scored so many goals, maybe they don’t do the other side of the game as well but Mo Salah’s all-round game right now is phenomenal. His work rate, his desire, his goals, his assists. I haven’t seen him in better form.

He added: “I think he’s in the form of his life. He looks strong, confident and he’s got the bit between the teeth.

“I think he’s enjoying having the likes of Virgil van Dijk back and he knows he’s now playing in a team this season that can win the title again.

“He is in wonderful form and it’s a joy to watch him and every aspect of his game – there’s not a weakness right now.”

Salah will be looking to add to his 100 league goal tally when he comes up against Manchester City at Anfield on Sunday, as Liverpool look to increase their lead at the top of the table.

Former Southampton and Burnley striker Charlie Austin said this week that he believes the 29-year-old is a world-class forward, who could even displace Neymar at PSG.

While former Red Dean Saunders says nobody is better than Salah right now, not even Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

“Right now, as we speak, who’s better than him?” he told talkSPORT .

“Eight goals in eight games from right-wing, he’s not playing down the middle. He just looks unstoppable.

“There’s Messi and Ronaldo, who are on their own, but right now they’re not as good as Salah.”
