Yerry Mina speaks out over Lionel Messi Copa America taunt

Yerry Mina has spoken out about Leo Messi’s comments during the Copa America Final, which led to the Everton defender finding himself in the headlines.

The Argentina captain celebrated winning his first international honour earlier this month, but not before shouting “Dance now!” at the Colombian defender after Villa keeper Emiliano Martinez had saved Mina’s effort in the decisive penalty shootout.

The clip of Messi calling after Mina, as well as Martinez talking to the defender throughout his spot kick went viral in what was a highly charged game.

Messi’s jibe came as result of the defender’s own jubilant celebrations, following his spot kick finding the net in Colombia’s semi-final shootout victory over Uruguay.
